Mail Boxes Etc., the Post Office’s only recognised national competitor*, today revealed surprising outcomes from June’s first postal strike. Simon Cowie, chairman of Mail Boxes Etc. said: “Most advice issued before the June strike was ‘post early or wait a few days’. We found that people do not want to wait, or cannot afford to. Overall, there was a 75% increase in the number of documents and parcels we handled.
